Today I’d like to introduce a comforting hamburg steak slowly simmered in a rich demi-glace sauce — a dish where the sauce itself is delicious enough to enjoy like a stew.

By using a store-bought canned demi-glace sauce, you can easily create a deep and satisfying flavor at home.

4.Heat 1 tablespoon of oil (not included) in a frying pan and cook the patties from Step 3 until browned on both sides. Once browned, remove the patties from the pan.
The center does not need to be fully cooked at this stage, as it will finish cooking later in the sauce.

5.Carefully wipe the oil from the pan used in Step 4 with kitchen paper. Add the butter from section B, then sauté the sliced onion and bacon from section B until the onion becomes soft.

6.Add the remaining ingredients from section B to the pan from Step 5 and bring to a boil over medium heat.

7.Place the patties removed in Step 4 into a pot with a lid and pour the sauce from Step 6 over them. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 11–12 minutes.
Do not cover the pot until the sauce begins to boil.

This dish is much easier to make than beef stew, yet just as satisfying and comforting.
By using canned demi-glace sauce, you can create a rich and flavorful meal with minimal effort.
It’s also perfect for casual entertaining or a cozy dinner at home.
