Spaghetti (slightly thick, 1.7–1.8mm) 100g
Canned diced tomatoes 1 can
Shimeji mushrooms (trimmed) 100g
Onion (thinly sliced) 1/2
Frozen seafood mix (used frozen) 100g
Clams in shell (cleaned and soaked to remove sand) 200g
Bacon (sliced) 45g
Garlic (grated) 1 clove
Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Water 300ml
Consommé powder 2 teaspoons
■ Directions
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion, bacon, and garlic, and sauté until the onion softens.

- Add the canned tomatoes, seafood mix, shimeji mushrooms, water, and consommé. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

- Once boiling, add the spaghetti. Cover and cook for one minute less than the package instructions.

- About 3–4 minutes before the pasta is done, add the clams. Cover and cook until the shells open.

- Serve in a bowl and finish with grated cheese or hot sauce if desired.
